This combination is designed primarily for domestic transport on the Vltava and Elbe, mainly on canalised stretches. The cargo hold of the barge has a volume of more than 1500 m³ with a carrying capacity of 1000 t.
The TKR 1 tugboat also provides tug services for moving vessels and floating equipment during high water and is used long-term for the operation of the Tajemství bratří Formanů theatre boat.
The vessel was modernised under the EU-co-financed Transport Operational Programme.
